Prize Draw Terms and Conditions

By entering the prize draw you are agreeing to these prize draw terms and conditions.

Eligibility to Enter

  1. There is no entry fee, and no purchase is necessary to enter this promotion.
  2. The competition is not open to employees or contractors of Oxford Nanoimaging Limited (ONI), or any person directly or indirectly involved in the organization or running of the competition, or their direct family members.
  3. The applicant(s) may be an academic researcher (faculty, postdoc, fellow, Ph.D. student) or a scientist in industry.
  4. The applicant(s) confirm that they are acting on their own behalf and not for the benefit of any other person and that they are over 18 years of age.

How to Enter

  1. Submit your competition submission to ONI using the competition link: https://oni.bio/ev-competition-2026/
  2. Submissions close on Friday September 25, 2026, at 10 PM PDT.

The Prize

  1. No cash or other prize alternatives will be offered. The prizes are not transferable. Prizes are subject to availability, and ONI reserves the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.
  2. If no entry meets a sufficient academic standard, no prize will be offered.
  3. The decision of ONI regarding any aspect of the prize draw is final and binding, and no correspondence will be entered into regarding it.

Winner Announcement

  1. The winner will be chosen by ONI.
  2. 1 winner will be announced on Friday October 2, 2026.
  3. The winner will be notified by email. If the winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize within 14 days of notification, ONI reserves the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and select a replacement winner.

Publicity & Data Protection

  1. By entering the prize draw, you consent to any personal information you provide being used by ONI for the purposes of administering the prize draw, as defined within our privacy notice.
  2. The winner agrees to the use of their name and image in any publicity material, as well as their entry. Any personal data relating to the winner or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current EU data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent.
  3. All personal information shall be used in accordance with ONI’s Privacy Notice.

Limitation of Liability

  1. ONI does not provide any form of practical or IT support for this prize. 
  2. ONI reserves the right to cancel the prize draw or amend these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice.

General

  1. The Promoter is Oxford Nanoimaging Limited (ONI) (company no. 10023177) whose registered office is at Linacre House Jordan Hill Business Park, Banbury Road, Oxford, England, OX2 8TA.
  2. Nothing in this competition intends to or shall be deemed to establish any partnership or joint venture between any of the parties, constitute any party as the agent of another party, or authorize any party to make or enter into any commitments for or on behalf of any other party.
  3. Each party undertakes not to disclose any confidential information concerning the business, affairs, customers, clients, or suppliers of the other party or of any member of the group of companies to which the other party belongs, including any confidential information concerning the equipment, Equipment function or assembly, software, buffers, or reagents, except as required for the prize draw.
  4. The competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
